Surnames: Dimmett, Chappell, Gregg Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zV.2ADI/1852 Message Board Post: I am trying to find out if there is an obituary for my father's aunt Electa Gregg who died on the 8 Jan 1949 in Alameda County. There is an off chance that she could also be listed as Electa Chappell. I don't believe she had any children by Mr. Gregg (who I have no first name for, just know she married someone by that name because of her listing in the CA Death Index as Electa GREGG) and have found that the children sometimes list her surname name as their own, rather than a late marriage surname. They did that with my grandmother who married, then divorced, and took back her original married name. She also had a son "Lonnie" Alonzo Blinn Chappell who died on the 15th of November 1958 in Alameda County, also. Through one of these obituaries I hope to be able to locate more of her children.
