James is listed as a ditch foreman. They are in the same town on the 1900 census along with Burton who is listed as a bookkeeper and sister Ethel. Birth dates for this family are James March 1838, Flora October 1860, Burton J. June 1877 and Ethel June 1881. On the 1910 census Flora is living with Burton and wife Henrietta (32) and son Charles B. age 5 in Oakland Alameda county CA. Burton is a clerk at a lumber company. 1920 census, Burton, his wife and children Charles B. 15, Francis 9, Miriam A. 6, and Donald J. 2 yrs 8 mos. Burton is now working for an oil company, can't read the position. No mention of Flora. I believe James Rose died on 11-15-06 at the age of 68 in Alameda county, can't find Flora who by the way is listed in the census as being born in Ohio. Burton J. Rose June 29, 1877 to 9-25-1968 in Alameda county, mothers maiden is McCool. Will check on the Heywood line a little later for you. Carol
