Hi All, I know this isnt related to Alameda County but you all are so great at helping I thought maybe someone could advise me on how to look this up. Iam looking for the addresses of the Fritz Motel (maybe hotel) and London Trailer Park on the (old) Highway 50 in Pollock Pines California. My Aunt and Uncle lived in Pollock Pines for many, many years and I also lived there for a while as a kid. They owned a house behind the motel. If it helps my Aunt and Uncles last name was Elledge. Im looking for an old phone book or a way to trace these old addresses. Im making a trip to Pollock Pines and would like to see whats there now after 40+ years. Our backyard was the forest that is now known as Highway 50, was a great place. Thanks for any advice. Cris Atwater California
Cris, Could it be FRISK Motel that you're looking for? I don't find any matches at google's news archives for FRITZ Motel, but there are about 35 for FRISK Motel. Consider calling the Placerville library's reference librarian (do a google search for the phone number) and inquire about what city directories or telephone directories they may have for the early 1960s, or what other resources they may have to determine addresses. US Public Records Index shows an ELLEDGE living at 5000 Golden St in Pollock Pines; perhaps there's a connection.
