Tammy, I believe that Engel & Co. owned, or possibly still owns, the Laurel Chapel at 3300 High Street in Oakland. You might check with them about the possibility of them having records. Also, there is a St. Joseph's in San Pablo, which is north of Oakland and Berkeley, but is within the jurisdiction of the Oakland Diocese.
