Hello, I am new to this list and hope someone can answer a question for me. I would like to send for my grandfather's brother's death certificate. He died in Alameda County in 1949. What I need to know before spending money (I'm in Canada) is what kind of information is on a certificate. It appears it will be stamped with "Informational purposes only" and that is fine, but what I need to know is if any personal information is on it besides, name, date of death, age. I'd like to know if burial place is noted, residential address, name of informant (as in a daughter). Without this information, it is useless to me. I already know his age, name and birthplace. I'm hoping to find something on this certificate that will lead me to his descendants, or indeed, my grandfather who absconded in 1934! Does anyone on this list have a registration from the County for that era that could tell me what kind of info is shown? Thanks in advance for any help offered.
