Hi List Hoping someone can help me with an obt or notice of death or anything at all to show this person ever lived or died. Her name was Jolene (not sure of spelling) May have been Barbara Jolene (not sure of spelling of either name) Jackson..She was the wife of Clarke Henry JACKSON and supposedly died of TB, perhaps in a TB facility, She would have died 1952 to 1963 in most probably Alameda or Contra Costa County. Hi Cris, Google "California Death Index". When you get there use a combination of names, etc., to see if you can find her. If you pin point her, I suggest you send for her death certificate. Anyone can get a death certificate for anyone. The state of California turned over the records to the individual counties about 3 years ago. Go to http://www.vitalrec.com for address, fee, instructions, etc. You'll need to send them a copy of your driver's license or some other type of I.D. Once you get that you'll have the exact place she died and it will be easier to get the obit.
