His given birth name was Herman Nietenstein. He was born in San Francisco in 1882. His last known address was 1414 4th St. Alameda, CA. He died on Jan. 1, 1945. His occupation was a Fire Warden for the shipyard. Stories are that he was a gambler and traveled to find gold in Australia. I want to find his obituary and any other information that may explain his life and his story for why he called himself Jack Stanley. I am also interested in any information about Frederick Nietenstein who was his brother and lived at the same address with his wife, Charlotte until 1907, then second wife, Frieda, until his death in 1934.
