They were Patricia Ann porter, 19, wife of J. W. Porter, sensational Technical High School baseball star now with the St. Louis Browns, and her father, Walter J. Singleton, 55, of 3340 Kempton Avenue, manager of the Grove Street branch of the Bank of America at 5501 Grove Street. TWO OTHERS KILLED Also killed in the crash were Elizabeth Piercy, 29, of Cardell, Okla., and her 8-month-old daughter, Linda. Singleton left Oakland several days ago to go to Colorado Springs where he picked up his daughter to bring here back to the Bay area. COMING TO OAKLAND Mrs. Porter was to remain in Oakland with her parents until her husband was settled in St. Louis, where he was to play after being sold this week by the Chicago White Sox. Porter, also a star with the Bill Erwin American Legion Post team here, had been playing with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, a Chicago White Sox farm team. Also checked the Oakland Tribune from Dec 1 to Dec 30 1951 and could not find a announcement on their marriage. Will check before Nov 30, 1951 and see if there is anything about their up-coming marriage. George Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am wondering how long to look for a marriage announcement, in the Oakland Tribune. For a marriage that took place in Oakland Nov 30, 1951. Thanks George --------------------------------- Sucker-punch spam with award-winning protection. Try the free Yahoo! Mail Beta.

She did also mention that they no longer keep loaner films as before unless they get ordered more than once so if one is looking for a film for an individual church, e.g. Germany, there's not a big chance that it's there. . . So,just a heads up, email her with questions you will need to ask!! Hope that helps someone. . .Pam Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
