My dad was born there in 1902. Mom born in S.F. in 1901. They used to talk about "going down to the Park St. Station" and bringing their own jar and getting it filled with peanut butter. I think they said Park St. Station?? They lived there during the Great Depression. They had a small home on Grace Court. # 1014.(on the corner). Even though times were really hard then, they talked about all the neat things they did to make or save money or have fun. Like collecting their milk bottles.Or sharing Ration coupons during WW2. And blackout curtains they had to have on their windows and air raid drills and "cats whisker" radio's my Dad used to build. He had one of the first amateur radio licenses but had to stop using it during WW1. All 'ham' radio operators had to do that.
