*** PBS History Detective is Keynote Speaker at Sacramento Conference *** Tukufu Zuberi, Ph.D., is the keynote speaker for the opening session of the 2004 NGS Conference. Dr. Zuberi achieved celebrity status earlier this year as one of four experts on the new PBS series *History Detectives*. In case you missed it, the show is devoted to solving historical mysteries, searching out the true facts (and falsehoods) behind local folklore, family legends and interesting objects. On an academic level, Dr. Zuberi is a Professor of Sociology and the Director of the Center for Africana Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He has a local connection, having received his Masters degree in Sociology from California State University, Sacramento. *History Detectives* returns to PBS tonight, Sunday, November 16, at 5:00 pm on KVIE Channel 6 (Sacramento). Dr. Zuberi returns to Sacramento on Wednesday, May 19, for the Opening Session of "A Golden Prospect," the NGS Annual Conference 2004.
