Lynn (and everyone else who asked the same question), Believe it or not, this has a lot to do with genealogy. What Pam did not say in her message is why we are looking for a covered wagon. Yes, in a way, it is a new meeting place -- it's a meeting of the biggest genealogy event in the country. The wagon is needed for a exhibit booth at the National Genealogical Society conference in Pittsburgh this May. As the local host for next year's conference (which will be in Sacramento), representatives from the Council are going to Pittsburgh to promote California genealogy and the 2004 Sacramento conference. We need a goldminer for our display, too.
