Considering the attendance at the two previous sessions, this program has been very popular. The Society sponsors its study group program (an informal round table discussion on genealogical problem solving) on the first Tuesday of each month, from 10AM to Noon, in the Auburn-Placer County Library Beecher Room, 350 Nevada Street, Auburn. This third session, titled "Importance of Census both Federal and State," will be an overview of the Federal and State Census from 1790-1930, indexes, AIS and Soundex. This three part presentation began in February on the subject to "Getting Started." In March, the program was "Locating Information. These three sessions are being moderated by Donna Young and are open to the public at no cost.
