PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 22,2003 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GENEALOGY SOCIETY TO HOLD SECOND OF THREE-PART WORKSHOP The Placer County Genealogy Society (PCGS) will hold the second of a three-part program, as part of its regular Day Study Group Workshop, on Tuesday, March 4th. The Society sponsors its study group program (an informal round table discussion on genealogical problem solving) on the first Tuesday of each month, from 10AM to Noon, in the Auburn-Placer County Library Beecher Room, 350 Nevada Street, Auburn. This second session, titled "Locating Information," will discuss What – Where – How, including cemeteries, courthouses, Family History Center (FHC), home search, letter writing and documenting results. This three part presentation began last month on the subject to "Getting Started," and concludes on April 1st on "Importance of Census both Federal and State." These three sessions are being moderated by Donna Young and are open to the public at no cost.
