"A Golden Prospect: Tips for Attending the NGS Conference" The Genealogical & Historical Council of Sacramento Valley is excited to be hosting the annual NGS Conference & Genealogy Exhibit in Sacramento, 19-22 May 2004. This is not just a local seminar. This is a NATIONAL CONFERENCE! It's big and exciting. It will fill your mind with new ideas and energize your research. It's a priceless investment in genealogical education. But if you're not careful, it can overwhelm you, exhaust you, and leave you weak in the pocketbook. Be prepared! A veteran NGS conference survivor is available to come to your genealogical society meeting to offer tips and advice for attending the NGS Conference 2004. Learn how to plan ahead, save money, stay rested, eat well, enjoy classes, meet people, and have a conference experience you'll never regret or forget. This is a full 45 to 60 minute program, including a question and answer session, suitable for presentation at society meetings. Our team of presenters are all experienced speakers and members of the Council's conference planning committee. The program is available for scheduling mid-December 2003 through mid-May 2004. We recommend that you schedule for January, February or early March-after the conference brochures are released and before the early-bird registration deadline. Several societies are already on the calendar. To schedule this presentation for your society meeting, contact Barbara Leak at kin2barb@surewest.net.
