Nevada County Genealogical Society will observe and celebrate Family History Month during the month of October with three different learning sessions. The Doris Foley Historical Library, 211 No. Pine St, Nevada City, will be open each Thursday, starting October 9, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for all levels of research. On October 9, we will have a Beginner's class, October 16 we will show how to Research In Libraries & Repositories and on October 23 Where To Search On The Internet. We hope, since all schools in Nevada County are out on vacation on October 23, that parents, grandparents, and/or teachers will bring the children by so they can be introduced to the hobby of genealogy.
