Do you have relatives or friends in faraway places who are similarly interested in your family genealogy? Why not contact them now and invite them to come stay in your spare bedroom next May during the NGS Conference here in Sacramento! The dates are 19-22 May 2004. A visit to Sacramento will give them the opportunity to attend the National Genealogical Society conference without having to worry about hotel reservations. And besides, you could all gain knowledge of your family's roots. We'll be keeping you posted on the deadline for the early-bird registration fee, which hasn't yet been announced. You can save money by planning ahead and paying when the fee is at its lowest. You and your family members or friends can drive together to the closest Light Rail station, park there, then ride into downtown, with only two blocks to walk from the Light Rail stop to the Convention Center. Presenters at NGS conferences are impressive. You and your family or friends really shouldn't miss this opportunity to experience the whole shootin' match right here in our own back yard. The Sacramento 2004 web site is coming soon at www.ngsgenealogy.org. Stay tuned for more exciting details. Please feel free to pass along this message to your friends, relatives and other genealogy mailing lists, or to reprint it in your society's newsletter.
