The meeting is open to the public. The program speaker will be Sandra Harris, who will be speaking on the subject: "Copy and Restoration in the Digital Era and Traditional." Sandra is a professional photographer, and along with her husband David, are owners of Harris Studio in Sacramento. As part of the business, the couple has done many copy and restoration projects for their clients. Ms. Harris will show some examples of traditional copy and restoration work and discuss the new techniques using the digital approach to restoring photographs. The Placer County Genealogical Society has a membership of over 200 individuals and families that have genealogical interests. The group holds a general meeting at the Auburn library site on the fourth Thursday of each month from 7-9PM, and features a program speaker on various genealogical subjects. The group also offers two specialty day groups. One that studies various topics of member interest, which meets at the library on the first Tuesday of the month, and the other, the Family Tree Maker User Group, reviews genealogy computer program subjects, on the second Thursday of the month.
