There was a notice on one of my lists that researchers can now use the Internet to check more than 50 million historical records at the National Archives. http://www.archives.gov/aad I havent had lots of time to check it out but my initial introduction to it was quite interesting. Also check out the ARC page from aad. If you are doing Native American research you will be pleased to see the listing for Guion-Miller Roll Index and Index to Final Rolls Dawes.
