The Society sponsors its study group program (an informal round table discussion on genealogical problem solving) on the first Tuesday of each month, from 10AM to Noon, in the Auburn-Placer County Library Beecher Room, 350 Nevada Street, Auburn. This month’s program will be presented by Barbara Leak on the subject of "Getting Organized: A Genealogists Greatest Challenge. To introduce her program, Ms. Leak says, "Disorganized stacks of papers surely must be the true hallmark of a genealogist. We search for the perfect filing system, but there is no perfect system. How can we ever achieve control?" At this workshop, she will outline filing concepts, then compare some widely diverse filing systems that are recommended by "the experts." The workshop is open to the public at no cost.
