Box 660061 Sacramento CA 95866-0081 OK FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Upcoming topics at the Sacramento German Genealogy Society The next meeting of the Sacramento German Genealogy Society will be on Tuesday, June 22, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Marks United Methodist Church on Lusk Drive at St. Marks Way in Sacramento. The speaker will be Jennifer Anderson, a graduate student at Brigham Young University, who will speak on Solving German Emigration Problems through the Internet. Anderson, a graduate student at Brigham Young University, was recommended to us by Roger Minert, who found her skills in searching the internet phenomenal. She will share with us her substantial skills in searching German ancestor data online. The July 27 meeting presenter will be Jim Rader, who will speak on DNA and its relation to family history research. The August 24 meeting topic, presented by LaVern Rippley, Ph.D., will be 200 Years of Germans in America. Entrance to the SGGS monthly meetings is free and visitors are welcome. Guests and members are encouraged to arrive for the meeting a half-hour early, to allow themselves time to socialize and browse the societys informational tables, which feature German genealogy-related books and other genealogical aids for sale, German reference and library tools and back issues of the societys quarterly Der Blumenbaum. And there are always mentors in attendance who share your interests and are eagerly awaiting a chance to discuss German genealogy, answer your questions and compare notes on research.
