PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - August 29, 2005 GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY DAY STUDY GROUP BACK FROM THE SUMMER The Placer County Genealogical Society (PCGS) Day Study Group will resume its regular monthly meetings, after taking the summer off, on Monday, September 12th. The Society hosts this study group program (an informal round table discussion on genealogical problem solving), from 10am to noon, in the Auburn Library Beecher Room, 350 Nevada Street, Auburn, on the second Monday of each month. This month's program will be led by Barbara Leak on the subject of "Answers in the Land Records." Participants will learn how to search deed books and use land records to solve genealogical puzzles. The meeting is open to the public at no cost.
