This class is half way through it's first offering. The first time it has been presented in the classroom in this form. I expect to offer it again in the fall (beginning after labor day) I just added more to the class web site http://www.rader.org/classes/survey_genealogy.htm The page find <http://www.rader.org/classes/surveyGenealogies/FindRootsweb.htm> genealogies on Rootsweb is the exercise we did in class friday The The ultimate <http://www.rader.org/classes/surveyGenealogies/4lessons.htm> surname genealogy book document is about 25 pages long and is a rough draft, like most of my handouts are. If you were in class Friday you received the first quarter of it. That handout has many problems among them the print and graphics were too small to read. This could be developed into a much needed Genealogy book if anyone is of a mind to do so. I am not a writer so I do not expect to complete the project. If anyone would like to take it over and publish it I will buy a copy and probably use it as a textbook in future classes.
