On the subject of old headstones, I was horrified to read of a practice of selling headstones in an issue of Canadian Gardening magazine. The owner of a garden hightlighted in the article said that if a headstone started to lean and become a danger, you could purchase the stone from the cemetery if no one in the family could be contacted or was prepared to spend an money on repairs. There was a picture of the obelisk tombstone in the magazine "planted" among the flowers. Thi scertainly makes the task of tracking down headstones a little more difficult! Mary L.
