Hi, I'm do not know the date of her death. I do know that she was married to Donald POST. They also had a son named Donald. I have heard that they had lived in St. Thomas, Ont., Canada. I believe she was born about 1878 in England. She had brothers Richard and Archibald. I have heard differnt stories about the children. One: that the family came over from England together. Two: that the children were orphaned and sent over. To relatives??? Three: they were orphaned? and then sent over as , shoot, I've lost the name, Home children?? Sorry about that. I hope someone can help as I'm trying to find their parents. Thanks for any help. Muriel
Ontario obits is looking for assistance for a cemetery transcription and hoping for a date... Here is the query I've been forwarded: I'm looking for an obit for Jane Leith who is buried in Peel Tp., Wellington North, Ontario. (She was born July 1839 in Red River, Manitoba or Fort Simpson, NWT or Scotland (depending on the document). Ontario Cemetery Finding aids online used to allow access to dates, but that feature is no longer available. She was still living 1881, wife of John Leith of Arthur, with a large family. Daughter Elizabeth married William Gorvett of Arthur about 1883. Jane Leith is the eldest sister of my great-grandfather James Sandison, one of twin boys born 03 Dec 1841 in the Orkney Islands to John Sandison and Elizabeth Sutherland. The OGS Cemetery finding aid # for her is WW-4357 (Peel tp., Greenfield, Albert-Bethel-Eden Vale-Hope-Mt Carmel). I have not yet found her in 1901 census, but found two daughters and her husband's brother and wife, all in Arthur village. Any assistance or advice you can offer is greatly appreciated) Currently, we're seeking only a cemetery transcription so we can try to pinpoint a date of death. Any help is better than none & we appreciate your efforts! Thanking you in advance, Janet Jones - Ontario Obits Admin http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~janjones/ObitsHome.htm
