Dear Listers I am hoping that you will be able to help me with my query as I have, in the past, written to the Cemeteries Division at London City Hall, Ontario but have received no reply. I am trying to trace the burial place of my great, great grandmother who died in London, Ontario on 10 March 1875. Her name was Charlotte Elizabeth BAILEY, wife of Solomon BAILEY from England. I believe that she may have been buried in the Wesleyan Methodist's Cemetery, which was known as Salter's Grove. A fellow genealogist in Ontario made a visit to the local Family History Society for me and found out that the cemetery no longer exists - it was destroyed to make way for a parking lot! According to the information in the record book there were "no burial records found" for Salter's Grove. However, the historian on duty said that, by law, City Hall has to make a note of all the persons buried in the cemetery before the graveyard is demolished. I wonder whether anyone would know if a list of people buried in Salter's Grove exists. Of course, she may have been buried elsewhere and for this reason I would be grateful if you could tell me of any other likely Methodist cemeteries in and around London, Ontario. I would be grateful for any help or advice, no matter how small. Many thanks. Fay Bennett Cambridge, England
