    1. [ONT-Cemeteries] Fw: List request
    2. gen-list
    3. Subject: List request I was wondering if you might post something to the list. I run the Saving Graves project (http://www.savinggraves.org) and am currently searching for someone to take on the role of National Coordinator for Canada. A National Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining the country level project website. They recruit and train county/parish/state volunteers and usually manage a country-wide mail list or discussion board for project volunteers. The country website offers general assistance to the researcher. In addition to above, the National coordinator tries to establish working relationships with other cemetery websites (that may contain information concerning the same nation) and often coordinates transcription projects to benefit researchers in that nation. Saving Graves will supply the web hosting on our server, the domain name and can provide mailing lists if needed. Anyone interested in volunteering for the position should contact William Spurlock at wspur! [email protected] We are also searching for Province Coordinators. A Province Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining the provincial level project website. They recruit and train county volunteers and usually manage a provincial-wide mail list or discussion board for project volunteers. The provincial website offers general assistance to the researcher. In addition to above, provincial coordinator tries to establish working relationships with other cemetery websites (that may contain information concerning the same province) and often coordinates transcription projects to benefit researchers in that state or province (transcription listings are not hosted by Saving Graves). Anyone interested in volunteering for these positions should contact William Spurlock at [email protected] Thanks much for your assistance. If I can be of any assistance to you in your Ontario Cemeteries project, please feel free to contact me and I'll do whatever I can. William Spurlock Saving Graves
