Greetings Fellow Researchers: I have agreed to look after this list while Sheila takes a well deserved break. I have been on the list (digest mode) since it started in Feb 2004, and other folks who have been on the list for a while will agree, it is a good place to participate or lurk. As a quick introduction; I can say using Rootsweb Mailing Lists; and generally communicating on the Net are not new concepts to me. I have BBS'ed on Fidonet and USENET'ed since retiring from Communication Command in the Canadian Forces in 1989 and before the WWW world. I have and still do currently administer several Rootsweb County locality lists and several surname lists over the past 5 or 6 years. Enough about my experience. I encourage folks to continue participating on the list with useful facts or queries. All I ask is for you to follow the general guidelines and use common sense when you are trying to determine if something is on topic or not. If you are not sure feel free to send me a direct email.
