Dear Lois (TL Beaton) You volunteered to see if you could find gravestones LaPORTES in Morrisburg. At the same time, please see if there are any with the surname of EVES. (EAVES) Am searching for any records for my THOMAS EVES who lived and I believe died in or near Morrisburg. There may also be one for RICHARD EVES born 1864 Williamsburg. Could not find him in the 1871 or 1881 census. He may have been the son of Thomas and Eliza LaPorte Eves. They also had a daughter MARY dob 1856. I think she died before 1880. Have no record of her every being married. Anything you can find may be a great help. I realize the winter weather there is bad this year so do not expect anything until Spring has sprung.
