Hi Willow; Here is what was transcribed from the grave stones of the five Franklin's buried in Hazzards Cemetery at Hazzards Corners: 1a) Franklin, William John - Born 1858 - Died 1931 - Spouse Annie Lavina Doughty 2) Franklin, Ethel Maude - Born 1903 - Died 1904 - Daughter of Wm & Annie Franklin 3) Franklin, Earnest Coleman - Born 1905 - Died 1906 - Son of Wm & Annie Franklin 4) Franklin, Jane - Born 1869 - Died 1941 - Spouse Samuel Coleman Osborne 5) Franklin, Drusilla Ann - Born 1858 - Died 1931 - Spouse Huram Wannamaker 1b) Doughty, Annie Lavina Doughty -Born 1861 - Died 1914 - Spouse William John Franklin Footnote: The Hazzard Cemetery, one of the oldest in this area, dates back to about 1830. It is located about four miles north of the Village of Madoc on Road 12 in the eighth concession of Madoc Township. An additional parcel of land was added to the cemetery in April 1919. This land was bought from Foster & Florence Gunsolus for the sum of one hundred dollars. The Church is standing as a "Historical Site" in memory of the many pioneers of the area.
