Hello and happy belated New Year! I want to take this opportunity to thank Sheila Hill for doing all she does for our Ontario Cemeteries... and for her great friendship in the many endeavours she's working on :) Keep up the good work! An update has been completed to "Gateway to Ontario Cemeteries Resources". Please note that this is now online in two locations - one being on rootsweb at http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~silentguardians and the other now located at http://www.wightman.ca/~dkaufman. Why two locations? Many of us often find rootsweb pop-ups and the servers being down from time to time, a bit of an annoyance. We will keep both locations updated as we can. In case you don't know about this website, Sheila has created a contact list of volunteers in Ontario who are willing to find information for researchers. Please note that some volunteers have left - plllleeeeeeaaaaassssssseeeeee praise your volunteer and offer many thanks! On another note, there have been some who would like to volunteer, but haven't offered all information. If you would like to be added to the volunteer list, please get in touch with Sheila or myself with the following information: County, Township, Cemetery Name(s), your name & contact email, and what you're willing to do (transcriptions, photos, etc.). Without all this information, your posting may be misplaced... which is why I try not to post until all information is available. I truly apologize if this inconveniences anyone, and hope you'll understand :) On a side note, I am participating in this year's Super Cities Walk for MS - trying to raise funds for a cure. If you would like to pledge me (my goal is $5,000), please contact me directly or use the link below to pledge online. Any donation over $15 will receive a tax receipt. All donations received through the obits website will be put towards this MS fundraising goal. With much gratitude ...
