    2. Janet Jones
    3. Hello everyone! "Ontario Cemeteries Resources", first choice in finding a volunteer lookup for a cemetery in Ontario, has been updated again. Additions include Middlesex & Lambton counties. Also, a map has been added to the Cemetery Links/Maps page. http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~silentguardians/ If you're willing to volunteer and/or have cemetery information to share, please get in touch with our list admin, Sheila Hill, or myself... we'll get the information added as soon as we can :) In addition to this, I'm working on an update to "Field of Stones" where we're adding photos of tombstones from pioneer and/or abandoned cemeteries in Ontario in hopes of preserving the history and deteriorating stones. If you have any photos you would like to have added, please get in touch with Sheila or myself :) http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~clifford/ Many thanks to everyone who is helping out others... :) And... happy holidays! 2. Joy Beaton
    3. Good Morning: Would anyone have the transcripts for St. Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery, Vaughan Twp. York County. I am interested in the following - they are shown on the OCFA. CAMERON, John, b. abt. 1823, Scotland CAMERON, Elizabeth, (John's wife, so probably born about the same time) Elizabeth may have died sometime after 1851 - she is shown on the 1851 Census, but it is believed she died sometime after that. CAMERON, Christena, abt. 1848, in Ontario, Canada. I understand John was a tailor. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Hints for the Ontario Vital Statistics site.
    2. Heather Bertram
    3. Hi everyone. Just a few hints for searching the OVS site. - Check alternative spellings of the surname. - Check U for Unknown - if it was illegible that is where the Ontario Archives have listed it. Also Unknown people are there. - Check N for Not named births or deaths (especially stillborns). Quite often the informant was the parent. - Check S for Stillborn. Please keep in mind that, although the registrations were required, they were not always done. If you cannot find the registration, it has not been transcribed yet. All transcriptions are done by volunteers, out of their pockets, on their time. If you have not tried the site, the URL is in my signature line. Please pass this message to other lists. Have a good evening everyone. Heather in Orillia Check http://www.rootsweb.com/~onvsr/ For Ontario Birth, Marriages & Deaths
