    3. Hi Willow and Listers, You can find some Hastings County Cemeteries on http://greenwoodontario.tripod.com/ I have no connection with this site - just stumbled on it a couple of months ago. It does not have the full inscription from a tombstone but does give dates and name of spouse. Now to Willow's query: MILES, Lucinda - Died 8 Jun 1855 aged 61 yrs 3 mos Spouse Stephen MILES (he does not appear to be listed in this cemetery) ...Pat from Alberta Living in the Past Lane ----- Original Message ----- From: "Willow Mundreon" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 16, 2004 11:04 PM Subject: [ONT-Cemeteries] lookup-Hastings County > > Listers > I am sure glad I have subscribed to this list. 3. My Web Page, Cemeteries in the County of Oxford, Ontario at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dcoop/ has transcripts as well as headstone photos. In addition, we obtain burial information from cemetery ledgers and plot maps of unmarked graves. We have much more work to do as soon as the snow cover leaves. I also take free photographs of any headstones in Oxford County. Please remember, the information found on the OCFA was taken from transcripts from the 1970s and 1980s and many cemeteries were not included. St. John's in Otterville, St. Mary's in Tillsonburg and New Durham in North Norwich Township do not appear in either version of the OCFA and there are more. Dave Cooper.

    3. Hi List, Sheila has asked us to post our Ontario-only cemetery listings so I’m repeating my previous message so that it appears with the requested subject line. I have transcriptions from Hillcrest Cemetery at Tara, Arran Township, in Bruce County. This version is several years old, but so are the graves :-). I'm willing to check these listings for a few specific names but, before you ask, please check the OCFA site at http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/ to confirm that your persons of interest are actually there. If they are, I can provide the inscriptions. I also have a privately produced list of individuals in various cemeteries in and around Leeds County. There are no transcriptions but the list could provide some useful clues because I believe that some of the cemeteries are not yet included in the OCFA. Al Currie Surrey, BC
