    3. I'm hoping this list could help me locate my missing HAYWARD family even if I have no clue where in Ontario they may be buried. They lived for some time in Norfolk Co. but I find no final resting places there. Those who I'm looking for include Edward HAYWARD who married Elizabeth WARMINGTON on 04/24/1844. He was born in the US, possibly NY and she emigrated from Ireland with her mother, also Elizabeth, and six siblings in 1840. Their children were Edward, Thomas, Levi, Robert, Orilla, Helen Marie and Mary Jane. Some of these children emigrated to the US but not necessarily together or at the same time. It is said that Edward fought in the Civil War. Mary Jane married and moved to Kansas. Orilla and Helen were the third and fourth wives respectively of my grandfather, Horatio Nelson MATHER. My search has been futile to date to find out anything about Elizabeth and Edward. The marriage date is the only vital statistic I have on either, no birth dates. By 1877 it is presumed both were dead as Robert, Helen Marie and Orilla were living with their grandmother (now Elizabeth Beaty) and uncle James Warmington in Townsend, Norfolk Co. Thank you in advance for any direction you can send me. Grace

The family story is that he was caught in the Great Fire of October 1881 in Michigan's thumb area. He lay in a creek for 3 days and 2 nights before found. He never spoke again. His son Hazard took him back to Essex County where he died, and is buried. Thats really all I know. thanks for any help offered. Conrad Dennis

    2. Marion Markham
    3. I probably should have put the name of the cemetery and the county in my previous request for a look-up for Duncan McRae. Unfortunately, Bruce County, a thumb sticking up into Lake Huron, is far away from the area that others seem to have information about. Still, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Marion

    3. Dear List Members. In every one life is a "Angel" and on this list there have been several who have made this mailing list the best one could ever wish for. But , I like to acknowledge a very special" guardian angel" who came to the rescue . As you are aware I have had a terrible problem with the Webpage that goes with this mailing list. People could not get it. What is the point of asking people to offer their resources and help if others can access this information. To top things off, I could not get another free website from Rootsweb. com for our Ontario Cemetery webpage. Then came a e-mail offering to help out and rest is history. Our website is revamped, 100 times better, and all thanks to the effort of Janet Jones. Tomorrow I will post the new web address and the old website but a pasting memory. What makes this even more special is Janet is a mother of three active children too. Thank-you very much Janet for all your help. How can we help her? It is simple. She is collecting Obituary for Ontario . Please send her some, but please ask for the format she would like them . Thank-you Janet! Sheila PS There are about 200-250 more cemeteries to post. And some wonderful links for photos too. They will be done by next Tuesday, February 24th . Thank-you for your patience and understanding on this.
