I agree with Carol Lee, it's like having an automobile, with an automatic every thing is done for you, but if you have a standard shift you have to do more work. The results are you still get there and it sure beats walking. Chuck ----- Original Message ----- > > I have only one question. I have read with interest the following " I think the webpage would be even easier to navigate if perhaps lookups were divided alphabetically by counties and then by township...Perhaps a main lookups page with links to county pages and if if counties page gets very large it could be divided into twps. this may be a lot of work but at the rate the site is growing will help keep the site uncluttered, quick loading and easy to navigate. > ??" I have only one question. And who is going to do all this work? Ann

Hello list, I am searching for Annie LYDIATT"S final resting place. Annie died iin Toronto on December 26, 1914 and I have yet to find her. If anyone has transcripts of the areas cemeteries I would appreciate a look up. Also if possible could you please email me off list and let me know what cemeteries you have looked in for my records so I don't duplicate the search. Thank you in advance for all your help, Tracy _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=dept/bcomm&pgmarket=en-ca&RU=http%3a%2f%2fjoin.msn.com%2f%3fpage%3dmisc%2fspecialoffers%26pgmarket%3den-ca
Many thanks to those so dedicated to providing this information. My response for the poll - 1) no 2) no 3) I think George has a good idea - he said : Should there be other web sites, such a Death Index's it should be a link NOT an added page. Other different sites can also be linked as seen fit. In time a Cemetery Lookup search engine could be added for ease of search. Mae Saunders Halifax
I really like the idea of a cem lookup request page. What if we could do it like a guestbook, where you personally, enter the information in a uniformed manner, yourself, and then you contact the webmaster once the request has been filled so it can be deleted? I'm sure we can figure something out... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jen & Peter" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 22, 2004 8:47 PM Subject: [ON-Cemeteries] POLL > I think the webpage would be even easier to navigate if perhaps lookups were > divided alphabetically by counties and then by township...Perhaps a main > lookups page with links to county pages and if if counties page gets very > large it could be divided into twps. this may be a lot of work but at the > rate the site is growing will help keep the site uncluttered, quick loading > and easy to navigate. > ?? > > > ==== CA-ONT-CEMETERIES Mailing List ==== > http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~silentguardians/Index.htm > NEW webpage > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial. Good point. It will be a considerable amount of work to organize a look up page, cemetery page, headstone photo page, & death registration page. This will be a 24-7 job. Trust me, doing the death registration site is several hours a day.
