Hudson to Claim Miss Louise Watters, Charming Daughter of Mayor. At the hour of 6 o’clock this evening Rev. C. L. Thackeray, rector of all Saints Episcopal church will speak the words, which will pronounce Robert Henry Hudson and Miss Louise Catherine Watters man and wife, the ceremony to be performed at the home of the bride’s parents, Mayor and Mrs. P. K. Watters at East Third and Carr streets. The ceremony will be simple but beautiful. Thomas and Fred Hudson, brothers of the groom, will attend the groom and Misses Lottie Watters and Mabel Hudson will officiate as bridesmaids. Misses Edith Hoe and Muriel Burland are to be the flower girls. Following the ceremony will come a reception at the home lasting two houses, after which the bride and groom will board a Pajaro train for a honeymoon in the south. The Watters home is beautifully decorated for the occasion and the scene is cleverly arranged. A wedding bell of pink roses and smilax will overhang the spot whereon will stand the bride and groom and the ceiling, walls, windows and corners in the rooms are tastefully decorated with pink roses, smilax, bamboo, carnations, fruit blossoms and other pretty flowers. One feature of the nuptials is the large amount of handsome wedding present, which cover four large tables upstairs. The gifts are varied as well as numerous and in the number are many beautiful presents of an expensive nature. The bride-elect and the groom-elect need no introduction here. A graduate of Stanford university and at present associated with City Attorney P. G. Sheehy and G. P. Burke in the practice of law, “Bob” Hudson is today one of the leading attorneys of the central coast counties and he has a brilliant future before him. The bride-elect is the youngest daughter of Mayor and Mrs. P. K. Watters and is a young woman, whose friends are legion. Accomplished, charming and popular, she is one of the leaders here of the younger set. Their many friends wish them much success and the “Pajaronian” joins in the general felicitation. Among the outsiders present for the wedding are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Warner of Oakland, Henry Watters of Chicago, Misses Georgia and Florence McCoy of Berkeley, Miss Ellen Beard of Sacramento, Miss Elsie Howell of San Francisco, Miss Janet Malcolm of San Francisco, Miss Lura Williams of Santa Cruz, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Watters of Santa Cruz and Fred R. Hudson of Sanford university. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ CA-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
