Golden started with his wife, Elizabeth Golden, about a week ago from Colony, Knox county, Missouri, for Fresno City. Mrs. Golden was suffering from catarrh of the bronchial tubes, and it was thought that the dry air and mild climate of Fresno would help her. Mrs. Golden died, however, while the train was coming down the Tehachapi mountains. Her body was brought to Fresno and will be buried this afternoon from the Baptist church at 2 o'clock.
