FARNSWORTH, at Cave Valley, says the Coloma ‘Times,’ there is an old apple tree 7 years old on which it is estimated there are 10 barrels of apples. >GEORGE H. ROGERS, an ex-Senator from Tuolumne county, was released from his debts and liabilities in San Francisco on Saturday last. >SANTIAGO AINSA, (son of Manuel AINSA, formerly of this city), graduated at St. John’s College, Fordham, New York, on the 11of July, with the degree of A.B. >>Thursday, 16 Aug 1860>Friday, 17 Aug 1860A MAN named Thomas LOWD, living on Dragoon Creek, near Springfield, committed suicide on Friday last by taking strychnine. ARREST of a HORSE THIEF -- Edward BUGBEY was arrested a few days since by Officer P.T. HEFFERMEN. BUGBEY is the thief who stole a horse from the stable of Mr. John HART in this city on the 31st ult. Mr. HEFFERMEN pursued him through nearly all the southern counties and came upon him on or about the divide between California and Utah Territory. 2 men were with the prisoner at the time of the arrest. The 3 were taken and brought to Strawberry Valley where 2 were released and BUGBEY retained. Mr. HEFFERMEN succeeded in reaching this city on Wednesday, with the prisoner -- the latter having several times escaped from his custody. He found in the possession of the thief, the horse of Mr. HART, a saddle belonging to Col. O’NEAL and a few other stolen articles which have been identified, including 2 5-shooters, 2 Deringers and sundry articles of jewelry.
