GREER, who will be remembered by the residents of Point of Timbers, where he for some years conducted the warehouse and shipping of Clayton and Company, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mr. R.H. CAVEN (Avanillise "Eva" W. Greer-Caven) near Concord. on Monday the 10th, instant, at the advanced age of 95 years and 6 months. He was a man of remarkable constitution and excellent health, with an intellect that was clear to the last. Most of Mr. GREER'S associates had passed over years ago and he has been patiently waiting the call to join them for the past two years since which time he has not been able to see to read or write. As late as February of this year Mr. GREER took a trip from Livermore to Concord overland without noticable fatigue. He was a native of Virginia and leaves one son and four daughters.
