WALLACE of Philmath, Oregon in a letter to Secretary Dan DOODY of the Board Of Health as to whether the remains of Charley BARDELL were interred here between November 1 and November 25 of last year. The letter states that a woman claiming to be the widow of the supposed dead man called on the writer and left with her a two year old baby. The mother of the child then disappeared and has not been heard from since. The information in possession of Mrs. WALLACE is that the body of BARDELL was shipped from Ashland, Oregon to Portland, Oregon and then fro there to Oakland where it was interred, The records of the Health Department do not show any such burial permit.
