She had been in feeble health for many months, yet there was nothing in her apparent condition that indicated the near approach of death, but at a very early hour on Friday morning she peacefully passed away. Mrs. SHERMAN, with her husband (Charles) and family came to this county about the year 1863 from Deleware county, Ohio, and then went to reside in the mountains near Placerville, where they remained two years and then returned to this place. Mr. SHERMAN died six years ago. Mrs. SHERMAN leaves a number of children to mourn her loss. In Martinez are Mr. George A. SHERMAN, and Mrs. E.M. TAYLOR, A.R. GUPPY, Mrs. George STONE and Mrs. William GIRVAN in Oakland and Mrs. Julia SHERMAN, now in New York. The funeral will take place on Sunday (tomorrow) from the late residence of the deceased.
