Hall of Records (Data Processing Center) at 463 Second Street in Yuba City, CA 95991, (916)822-7130) should be able to respond to your questions. For the most part, I have had to physically go there for the information I wanted. As for the newspapers, I found much information in the newspapers of California Room of the California State Library, at 914 Capital Mall, Sacramento, CA 95814, (916) 654-0261.
