    3. CA has a death index 1905-1995. A volunteer from the CA help list could probably take a look for your William Martin and then with the actual death date you can order his death certficate which would tell you his burial location. It is an index of all the names in the CA county biographies published and available at the CA Room of the state library. There's a search feature and it tells you how to order copies if you find one of your names. http://www.compuology.com/cpl/cpl_bio.htm Learn all about resources available for California research at these two sites: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/NORCAL%20index/toc.shtml http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~yvonne/norcallib.html (volunteers for book lookups) Follow the link her to visit the Placer county website: California county websites: http://www.compuology.com/cagenweb/ Volunteers - vital records, obituaries, city directories, cemeteries, etc. by county location http://raogk.rootsweb.com/californ.htm http://posom.com/hl/usa/ca.shtml Obituary volunteers: http://members.aol.com/sjhcamp/index.html Colleen ø,¸¸,ø*°´°*ø,¸¸,ø*°´°*ø,¸¸,ø*°´°*ø,¸¸,ø*°´°*ø,¸¸,ø -----Original Message----- From: Anita Wills <alani2@worldnet.att.net> To: CA-GOLDRUSH-L@rootsweb.com <CA-GOLDRUSH-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, December 02, 1999 4:24 PM Subject: [GOLDRUSH] Diary >I am seeking information on my ancestor William Martin who was a miner in >Placer County.
