Marilyn, Donna, and others who want history and seem to think I don't, Enough, already! My first post to Tim was a request to just include things that were genealogy-related. People with any genealogical experience should know, without it being pointed out, that history is one of those things. In fact, anything that affected the lives of our ancestors or other relations is related to genealogy. "Chaff," which I implied should be left out, simply means "trivial and worthless." (American Heritage Dictionary) So, in the simplest terms I can think of at 12:57 am, what I asked of Tim was that he include from the diaries those things that were related to the lives of our ancestors and to leave out that which was trivial and worthless. Why anyone should be either confused or annoyed at that request, either in this or the original form, is a mystery to me. Please don't try to explain--we've wasted enough time already. Let this be the end. Jim
