    3. Well, I have some good news. Found some material for you that I believe will be helpful. In 1860 census Amador W.S. COOMBS age 31 born PA carpenter Adelaide 21 OH Ida May 6/12 CA in 1870 I couldn't read the census. in 1880 sndx Amador 2-34-38-1 W.S. COOMBS 52 PA Adelaide 41 OH Ida 21 CA Lillie 16 CA Cora 14 CA Frances 7 CA Mirtie 5 CA Edward A. 3 CA I couldn't find Adelaie COOMBS in the CADI for 1907 at all. I believe the Cora you mention is Mrs. Cora V. HALL who married Arthur H. COOMBS in SF in 1916. Dod for her was age 63 SF July 12 1929. If Arthur is related then she is one of yours. I could not find Estella COOMBS in the CADI either but I did find Edward Allen COOMBS. He died in Sacramento age 53 on Apr 16 1931. Got an obit on him. There are several COOMBS in the death index for Amador. Do any of these ring a bell? Joseph H. COOMBS age 60 (spouse H) Jun 18 1921 Mildred P.COOMBS 7 months Feb 28 1918 Thomas E. COOMBS spouse P age 38 Apr 29 1919 >From the NDGW: W. S. COOMBS was born Uniontown PA about 1824 arrived in CA July 26 1850 overland by the Carson Trail Information by Emma Boarman WRIGHT Jackson CA >From Edward's obit - he was the brother of Mrs. Frances (age 7 in the 1880 census) BODIENT of Sacramento, Mrs. Myrtle (Mirtie age 5) GONZALES of TX and the uncle of L. B. COOMBS of Los Angeles. He is the right one because he is a native of Ione and he is buried in Ione Cemetery. i hope this helps. If you send me your address I can mail you the copies.
