While I was on vacation, someone inquired about the Noble's Emigrant Trail. The Shasta Courier newspaper has excellent accounts about this route. A good description can be found in that paper of 29 June 1852. Another excellent source on this and other trails and some unusual early California history can be found in the book entitled "My Playhouse Was a Concord Coach: An Anthology of Newspaper clippings and documents relating to those who made California history during the years 1822-1888" Compiled by Mae Helene Bacon Boggs Howell-North Books, 1942.
