We have a g. g. grandfather who apparently died in or before May 1874 in Shasta County. (This is from a notation on the voters list - "deceased cld 21 May 74"). Are there records of the old miner's cemeteries from that time period? Where would we find them? We understand the old town of Whiskeytown is now under water, and a new town rebuilt at the top of the hill. Does anyone if the cemetery was moved as well, or is it under water?
