Jamie, I would try the county historical society, write to the chamber of commerce in the town where you will be visiting, They can give you the address and sometimes they can give you a local genealogy group too. and I would go to the courthouse and ask to see there will book, the county recorder should have it, that's how it works here anyway. also the local library usually has books on the county history,I have also got local genaalogy clubs from funeral homes. Give me the names and I will check my records first for you, and see if a biography exists. Thai's what I did when I went to Trinity county, which is where I lived as a kid, I also wrote the forestry and they had a picture of the house where I lived as a kid in 1940, a lot of the homes in the high Sierras were owned by the forestry and on the 99 year leases. They also had a picture of the swinging bridge behind the house that went over the trinity river, that we played and fished off as a kid, Good luck in your search and have a save trip but have fun.Abigail
