I am looking for information on a Joseph Shartz or Sharts. He was born in Frederick County, MD about 1823, moved to Indiana shortly after, and drowned in the American River about 1855, according to a Marion County, Indiana history book. Do not have any further information. Would love to know a possible location/cemetery, etc. Thank you for your help. Marilyn Indiana
