I am having difficulty with goldrush ancestors who first appeared to settle in Bath, Placer County, CA. They appeared to be in Bath starting 1862 through at least 1870, and probably much longer. The problem appears to be lack of records, but suspect I am not looking in the right place. I looked through all the Placer County vital records I could borrow through the Family History Center, and out of several films, found only one Barlow record. It was the death record for one of my ancestor's small children. A family of ten children should have been recorded more. There was no recording for the birth of my great grandmother that should have been there. Has anyone on this list worked with ancestors from Bath? If so, I would like to hear where they found information.
