Hear! Hear! Well said. I really feel this is uncalled for. I know there are many listers who do reply, but we should ALL reply... It takes no effort to hit "reply to all" and send a message to acknowledge receipt of the information that we asked for and that has been supplied by a generous volunteer. You know, these volunteers have either spent money buying the reference books they use or take the time to go to the research centers to get our answers. This expense is in addition to the time they spend doing the research and typing up the letter they send us with the information we have asked for. Don't mean to sound so righteous but it is just a common courtesy that really takes very little effort on our part. Please let the volunteers know you have received the information and thank them for their time. It's a very odd thing to feel like an automated "information operator" - these are real people.....
